I am a 64 year-old marine engineer with a background in industrial and marine diesel engines. I have gained over 35 years of experience in the field of after-sales service for commissioning and maintenance of diesel engines.




It was while working for the French Navy during my military service between 1969 and 1973, that I was first introduced to the handling and the maintenance of marine diesel engines.




Ever since 1973, I have been working as a maintenance and commissioning engineer with SACM of Mulhouse (France) and Wärtsilä Corporation (1990) and have voluntarily contributed to the improvement of viability of the department, whilst attaching due importance to customer satisfaction by offering to make their installation more reliable, providing additional services (maintenance contract, for example ) and by selling them certain products. My colleagues extended the much-needed support for achieving this and for widening our horizons world-over.




Thanks to my linguistic abilities and technical experience, I acted as an interface between our customers and Finnish technicians by orally translating the English theoretical and practical training courses. The training courses dealt with the VASA engines made in Finland. From 2005 I managed the training centre in Mulhouse , in 2011 I was promoted product application manager on the 4 stroke diesel engine France product.




Professionally, I aspire to fully use my potential in terms of technical expertise, by taking up also engine maintenance , engine commissioning and mechanical training operations.
